As a member of the technical committee for the 16th US Congress on Computational Mechanics, Dr. Tim Truster co-organized a panel of industrial and laboratory leaders on the topic of “The Role of Computational Mechanics in Industry”. This panel of invited speakers was organized to discuss current mechanics trends in industries and laboratories as well as foster fruitful collaborations and the transition of computational methods from academia to industry. Suggested practices for collaboration between academia and industry on computational mechanics research were organized into a review article on the US Association of Computational Mechanics website, found here.
