Summer 2025 was a great time of transition for the CLMI research group. After discerning a call to enter seminary in pursuit of a vocation to the Catholic priesthood, Dr. Timothy Truster resigned from his tenured faculty position at UTK to move to Chicago for his formation in community. In recognition of his approval for promotion to Professor in April 2025, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has appointed Timothy Truster to the position of Research Professor. With permission from the US Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, he is continuing part-time administration of the CLMI research group as a mentor to current PhD students and PI of two sponsored research projects. Timothy Truster is eternally grateful for the support and prayers of his students, colleagues, and new communal brothers during this time of transition!
