Timothy Truster presents May 19 on Variational Multiscale DG methods in KTH seminar series

Dr. Tim Truster will be giving an invited seminar in person on May 19 at 4:15 CET for the division of Solid Mechanics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. As part of his sabbatical at Max Planck Institut für Eisenforschung in Düsseldorf, Germany, Dr. Truster has also given seminars about the research of the CLMI group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, MINES ParisTech, and Leibniz University in Hanover. This talk is entitled “Variational Multiscale DG: A Stabilized Framework for Modeling Slip and Fracture at Interfaces” and covers the history of the group’s work on this class of Discontinuous Galerkin methods across a variety of physical problems.
